Newsletter No.6 - August 2011

Renovation Works Beginning and Recruitment Underway!

The generosity of our supporters has continued over this last month with more people converting their pledges into cash as we close in on our £350,000 target.  We have raised a total of £325,000 in cash.  For those of you that have converted your pledges into cash you will shortly be receiving your share certificates.

The management committee are now busy on two fronts, planning the renovations and getting quotations for the work and also running the recruitment programme.

FANTASTIC NEWS !!!

We have now purchased the Foresters.

Thanks to your generosity we have now converted enough pledges to purchase the Foresters Arms. The sale has now gone through meaning that we have been able to secure the pub for the community forever.

To date we have in total converted £284,600 of pledges into cash. This leaves us £65,400 short of our £350,000 target.

Newsletter No.4 - June 2011

Firstly we would like to thank all of those of you who were able to take the time last week to join us at the public meeting. We think that it was a great success, in no small part down to the positive attitude of everyone who attended and the re- affirmation of your support to buy and re-open the Foresters Arms.

Secondly a massive thank you to all of you who have turned your pledge into real support by applying for shares. We have had a fantastic response and after the first week we have £105,000 in the bank.
