As we write this newsletter the Foresters Arms is bathed in sunshine and a fine dusting of snow. The weather forecasters tell us that the current run of below average temperatures will be with us for a while yet. It’s good to know that regular trips up and down the dale by the council gritter wagons mean we can get to the Foresters, where a warm welcome and blazing fire await.
As we reported at this year’s AGM, the fireplace repairs carried out last year held well over the winter and we are pleased to report that this continues to be the case. Also mentioned at the AGM was the need for repairs to/rebuilding of the lean-to storeroom. We had a successful meeting with the Yorkshire Dales National Park which means we can now move on to investigating options and costings. In the meantime, some minor structural repairs have been carried out which should ensure it is at least weatherproof over the winter months.

Winter greetings to everyone! Things have started to quiet down slightly after a manic summer. We have a very busy and exciting December for you.
Our Xmas Fayre Menu will start from 1st Dec to the 24th Dec (Bookings and Pre-order required) This can be served either Lunch or Supper.
4th Dec - Music Night (Live music by local Musicians).
11th Dec - Xmas Quiz 20.30.
18th Dec - Xmas Carols 19.30.
24th Dec - Sunday Lunch 12-15.30 Supper 18.00 to 20.00 (Normal Menu).
Xmas Day - Bar open 11.00 – 15.00 for drinks only.
Boxing Day - Bar open 12.00 – 18.00 (Food served 12.00 – 16.00)
27th - 30th Dec Open as usual (Normal Menu).
New Years Eve - Bar open 12.00 - Late (Food served 12.00-15.00 / 18.00- 20.00) Evening Live entertainment and Disco.
New Years Day - Bar Open 12.00-18.00 (Food served 12.00- 16.00).
Closed 2nd Jan 24.
