Newsletter July 2016
We are very happy to be sending you all our summer newsletter.
We hope that you are well, and making the best of this year's version of summer!
Thank you for being shareholders in the buildings of our community pub. Without your investments we would not be able to continue to support the venture, and we are very grateful to you.
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at this year's AGM which is on Wednesday 7th September 2016 to be held in the Coverdale Memorial Hall in Carlton. at 7.30pm. We ask that you put the date in your diary and make every effort to attend. It is essential that the AGM is quorate of enough of our members (at least 38) in order to pass any items on the agenda that require a vote.
We are anticipating that a dividend could be in the offing so we need your presence please!
The invitation and the papers will be coming out in August, but please make a plan to join us. Thank you.
In order for us to ensure that information about the Coverdale Community Pub reaches you, and to be able to communicate with you as cheaply as possible, it is best for us to have a current email address that you check regularly as this enables us to keep stationery and postage costs down. If we do not have an email address for you, please consider providing us with one. However, when we send out dividend cheques, we will need your correct postal address as well please!
We are aware that some of you may have moved to a new postal address or changed your email address. Please can you inform John Watson our membership secretary if you have changed postal address, telephone number or email address.
Or by post to:
John Watson, Membership Secretary

We also have news written by Keith, direct from the Foresters Arms: -
"One year on, and hard to believe, but as you read this we will be about to celebrate our first year as your tenants in The Foresters Arms.
Most of the planned changes have almost been completed.
The Owl Room has a beautiful new carpet, and the new leather dining chairs have been ordered. The dining room now looks and feels superb. The snug is now being used a lot more, with the arrival of the last of the leather tub chairs it is now a comfortable room to relax in. We even have the TV in there (don't worry, we will never have one in the bar!).
Our "Evening with" nights continue to be popular. Wensleydale Brewery, Simon Theakston and Karl Mason (Masons Gin). Next up Timothy Taylors, and hopefully, Alan Hinks Mountaineer.
The outside of the pub looks stunning, over 14 hours of planting has really paid off, we hope you agree. Oh! And due to popular demand, the drum kit is back.
Hopefully, the summer will have kicked in by now ond we can laok forward to a busy time.
Lesley and I would like to thank you all for your continued support and trust that you are happy with what we are trying to achieve here at The Foresters."
Despite the inclement weather, the Coverdale Community Pub committee are looking forward to seeing you all this summer and after the AGM in the Foresters Arms
